LUNA MOTH STUDIOS
Luna Moth Studios
is a collaboration between Marco Valle and Elena Allee, two artists who specialize in creating unique art objects, home accessories and installations, using upcycled wood, pallets, paint, metal and found objects, and often incorporating natural elements such as tree branches, moss and rocks.
Luna Moth Studios is based in New York State’s Hudson Valley and the foothills of the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts, where the two artists’ inspiration is drawn from their local surroundings. They have a particular focus on the marriage of functional design and fine art, creating many pieces that are both beautiful and useful.

One of their signature motifs is the Luna Moth, a nocturnal insect that is native to the Americas that has symbolized transformation—the leaving behind of old ways and embracing new beginnings. These creatures are also, traditionally in many cultures, symbols of love, hope, fortune and prosperity.
Elena and Marco are also collaborating on series’ of comic books, DIY coloring books, and graphic novels, all under the umbrella of Luna Moth Studios.
Overall, Luna Moth Studios produces works of art and design that highlight the importance of re-using and upcycling in today’s throw-away culture, while simultaneously celebrating the beauty of nature and the power of collaboration and creativity.
